What this site is
crawlforge.org presents CrawlForge, a technical auditing tool for websites you own or manage, and publishes a devlog about how it is built. The content is informational: figures come with their measurement method next to them, and what is described is the build current at the time of writing. Things change, and the changelog records how.
The software and its licence
The crawler, the audit rules, the command line and the adapters are open source under the Apache License 2.0 and are distributed through GitHub in a public repository. Your use of the code is governed by that licence, not by this page, including its warranty disclaimer: the software is provided “as is”, with no warranties of any kind.
The native desktop applications and the portfolio sync service are not open source. When they exist as products they will carry their own terms.
Use it on sites you are responsible for
The tool is built to audit sites you own or manage. If you point it at infrastructure that is not yours, that is on you: respecting robots.txt, the crawl rate and the target site's terms is the operator's responsibility, not the tool's.
Availability and accuracy
We try to keep the site up and its content accurate, and we guarantee neither. The site can change or go offline without notice, and nothing on it is professional advice.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you use this site as a consumer, nothing written here limits the rights consumer law gives you, including where a dispute is heard.
